Extracurriculars & Academics
We know that homeschool families are passionate about raising up the next generation to follow Christ. That’s why Westlake comes alongside homeschool families to provide traditional extracurricular activities in a safe, Christian environment.
Homeschool students can participate in band, athletics, or academic courses. Additional information about each program is available:
PSAT Testing for Homeschool Partners
Homeschool students are invited to join us at Westlake for the PSAT.
- Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2025
- Time: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (testing takes about 2 hours 15 minutes; most students finish by 11:00 am)
- Location: Westlake Christian Academy, 275 S. Lake St, Grayslake, IL 60030
- Cost: $35 per student
- Supplies: Government-issued ID (Chromebooks, scratch paper, and pencils provided; calculators optional—built-in calculator available)

Homeschool Admissions
Homeschool students must follow the same admissions policy as full-time students. Homeschool students cannot attend practice or rehearsal unless they have submitted an application and completed a family interview. The application is online. Please select “homeschool” as the grade you are applying for.
Enrolling a Homeschool Sibling
Families who wish to add a homeschool sibling will need to submit an application for the new student. However, an additional family interview is not required. Please apply online and select “homeschool” as the grade. You will then choose a “sibling” application that corresponds to your homeschool student's grade (4th–6th or 7th–12th).
